Dates

I have set dates in order to have pictures taken of my models in order to ensure I have everything for my magazine set on a schedule so everything can run as smooth as possible in order too ensure everything meets the certain deadlines set.
The following are January 15 for pictures to be taken , the next day I will edit and start the final cover process.

Wardrobe

In my pictures every model has to look beautiful and well presented. Although beauty is not only on the outside but within, each model has to look put together. I plan for all my models to be wearing minimal makeup and nice outfits. Maybe some models will be dresses and have an overall girly vibe. I want each of my models to make up an outfit on their own that will represent not only their style but their personality as well. I hope to take well pictures and have them happy with the final outcome.

Mishaps

Almost nothing in life ever runs smoothly, and that’s okay because it’s always how you handle mistakes not how you make them. My partner and I have decided to edit a few parts of our magazines for both issues to run smoothly and tie in well with one another. Incorporating heath, diversity and unity all in one. We will be putting the finishing touches onto our ideas and creating a reinvented version of our magazines while still having our original idea incorporated.

Incorporating Props

In some magazines , props are included either to add on to the aesthetic or to create a certain overall look. I’ve thought about props that I could use to add onto my aesthetic of beauty and confidence tying into health. I thought of adding either extra models to form unity or makeup items or anything that will help in adding that extra oomph!

Potential Models

In this blog post, I am making aware of some potential models that I will be using in my magazine cover. I’ve chosen the following girls being that I believe they are beautiful and can be very photogenic making my job slightly easier in capturing the best shot.

Photoshoot Plan

In the mist of making my magazine cover, I need to have a photoshoot plan in order to get the final shot. I plan to pick a few friends and have them aware as to why I will be photographing them as well as where. I plan to take the image with a background that isn’t too distracting to keep my overall neutral look and pick out the best photos that portray the model smiling and appearing to be happy and content. I will then edit the picture to where I see fit while then using Canva, a photo editing app that helps create covers to create my final piece.

Influences

Everyone either has influences or inspirations that overall help bring out certain ideas or topics and some of my influences happen to be vogue , being that it is greatly respected and known for being just beautiful and amazing while detailing some of the most beautiful models on the planet. I also take inspiration from and admire cosmopolitan, for their boldness and the fact that they hold nothing back and express diversity within the community.

Representation In Media

Media in today’s world holds so much power. Whether it’s social media or the news everything in the dark is put forward into the light and many individuals rely on media for either the top scoop of the day or for their early morning news. Media has the power to either make or break you and it has a strong influence on how your overall image looks. When having the media in control and in your favor you’re success can sky rocket in just a matter of minutes. Having a good reputation and look for your magazine with the help of the media can open doors and windows leading to great success. Media influences the way we do things nowadays and it helps me for example represent what is new and what’s in , in my magazine to stay on trend while also putting my own twist in it , in the end.

So for my magazine I have decided to create a mood board which can be described as an arrangement of images, materials, pieces of text, etc. intended to evoke or project a particular style or concept.
